The girlfriend of Glee star Cory Monteith has thanked fans for their support and said she is grieving alongside the actor's family.
Monteith, 31, was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver on July 13 after consuming a mixture of heroin and alcohol.
Lea Michele dated Monteith for more than a year after appearing with him on the hit television show.
The 26-year-old's representatives told People: "Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans.
Michele said she was "deeply grateful" for the support she had received"Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them.
"They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family."
Monteith and Michele appeared publicly together as recently as last month at a charity ball.
The 31-year-old struggled with addiction since he was a teenagerWhen Monteith entered rehab earlier this year, Michele said she was "proud" of her boyfriend for facing up to his problems.
The actor had talked openly about struggling with addiction since he was a teenager, calling it a serious problem and telling Parade magazine in 2011 he was "lucky to be alive".
Monteith's death was caused by "a mixed drug toxicity, and it involved heroin primarily and also alcohol", a Canadian coroner ruled on Tuesday.
Fans have been leaving tributes outside the hotel where he diedBarbara McLintock, from the British Columbia coroner's office, added: "There is no evidence to suggest Mr Monteith's death was anything other than a most sad and tragic accident."
Police said the Canadian actor had been out with other people earlier, but was believed to have been alone when he died.
The investigation into his death continues.
